홍상범 박사님과 박경원 관장 (Katy Park)이 2009년 8월 서울 청담동에 위치한 아르케 치과안에 갤러리 아르케를 개관하였습니다. 

헬라어 ‘아르케’(ἀρχῇ)는 출발, 시작, 원인, 기원이라는 뜻으로  창세기 1장 1절  "태초에 하나님이 천지를 창조하시니라" 할때  태초가 바로 아르케입니다.  

 

하나님을 만나 새로운 삶을 시작하는 그 순간, 불완전에서 새롭게 시작하는 그 순간에 때로는 누군가의 손길이 필요합니다.

아르케는 새로운 시작을 원하는 예술을 사랑하는 사람들을 위하여 섬기는 마음으로 개관되었습니다.  

 

옛것을 버리고 새로운 시작을 하는 모든분들에게 예술을 통하여 치유와 회복, 하나님과의 동행이 갤러리 아르케에서 이루어지기를 바랍니다.

Dr. Hong Sangbeom and Director Park Kyungwon(Katy Park) opened Gallery Arche

at Arche Dental Clinic located in Cheongdam-dong in August 2009.

The Greek word ‘arke’ (ἀρχῇ) means ‘commencement’, ‘beginning’, ‘the first cause’, and ‘origin’.  

When Genesis 1:1 says that “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”, the beginning is Arche.

 

At the moment of starting a new life after meeting God, at the moment of starting from a place of imperfection, someone's hand is often needed.  Arche opened with a mission to serve those who love art and who want to make a fresh start.

 

I hope that healing, restoration with God can happen through art at Gallery Arche for all those

who wish to throw away the old and start with a clean slate.
